The Chevrolet Volt electric vehicle will now come power packed with an 8 year/100,000-mile warranty as unravelled by General Motors. This announcement has been validtaed by the new advanced lithium ion battery back up. This is a breakthrough in the automobile fraternity and is the longest battery warranty so far.
This battery is ready to go in action as reported by Micky Bly-the Executive Director of Global Electrical Systems. This is a great way to reduce the immense petroleum consumption and also ensure a high end service, safety and durability.

The 100,000 miles battery warranty is inclusive of all 161 battery componenets. So Volt stands out from the rest as the only electric car that can run smoothly anywhere and anytime. This battery can be cooled and warmed as and when required. It has an intrinsic thermal management system that can run without any obstacle from -13 degrees fahrenfeit till 122 degress fahrenheit. Nancy Laubenthal, plant manager of the Brownstown Battery Plant said, “Last August we announced the investment in the Brownstown facility and in January built our first completed battery pack. Now we are finishing pre-production batteries and soon we will begin building production batteries for Chevrolet Volts that will be delivered to dealers before the end of the year”
Since 2007, engineers at Global Motors have been performing rigorous tests and have completed a total 1 miilion miles and 4 million hours of test. So this Volt batter component has been through an acid test and now stands upright and ready to set the roads on fire!
