Automakers are trying to show off their new motor vehicles in any way they can. Some of these new models include concept cars that might never even make it into production. For instance, one of the possible designs for the 2015 Chevy Camaro looks as though it was intended to steal some thunder from The Dark Knight Rises.
It might very well have been intended to look like a version of the Batmobile. Modernity pervades the blueprints. With a low roof, the entire front end looks extremely angular. Tyler Bame, a 22-year-old Lawrence Tech graduate, was the genius behind the design. Sadly, it probably won’t ever come off the production line. Low roofline vehicles are rather impractical, and this represents a design ethos taken to an extreme. General Motors would have a hard time finding a market for it.

The power of the Internet is quite awesome. A few images of the 2013 Lexus LS sedan were leaked on a dedicated fan site several days before the real release. Illustrations of both the LS460 and LS460 F Sport were shown to fans of the Japanese luxury brand prior to the actual unveiling. This sort of behavior is naturally officially discouraged. In fact, it’s probably rather illegal and no one else should try it.
Regardless of Lexus’ formal opinion on the matter, there is a possibility that it could boost sales among those who really liked what they saw. New features include a spindle grille that seems somewhat similar to the grille on the GS. The bumpers and headlights have been redesigned, as have the wheel covers. While it does feature a new hood design as well, this new Lexus might very well be a facelift more than a new model. However, that shouldn’t discourage fans from buying the futuristic vehicle by any means.
Strangely enough, some automakers are also trying to gain publicity for their motor vehicles by advertising their other lines alongside their cars. BMW Motorrad showed off the electric C Evolution scooter as the 2012 London Olympics opened up. Since the ‘i’ series of automobiles has been heavily featured recently, the intent was to generate quite a bit of publicity for all of the products made by BMW. Whether or not this was a successful marketing maneuver remains to be seen.
