The economy is looking up, and you have been pondering this for quite some time. In the great country that we live in, car buying and the hunt that precedes it, is the best in the modern world. Maybe too good. The choices as to where to go and how to hunt are enormous. With all the choices available, one can afford to be more than just a little picky. Why not? Car buying is everywhere and let's face it; it is also a buyers market. But where exactly does someone start their hunt for the perfect car buying experience? Most of these places you have heard of, but they are worth mentioning again.

The local new and used car lots are an excellent way to quickly get educated in the car buying business. Brand new autos with only a few miles on them all the way to managers' specials are available. Whatever price range you have specified will be represented here. Be aware though, the pressure to have you buy a car is usually quite high at these locations. Even the buy here, pay here car lots have some impressive iron on the lot. But once again, the salesman's paycheck is usually driven by a commission. So the pressure will once again be high. Most, if not all, people will start their hunt on the internet. Any car, any year, any mileage, you get the idea. All will be just a few key strokes away and this is a great idea to do some car buying research. Look at all the photos, request more info, and if your hunt ends here, call and set an appointment. If the car considered is used, collect all known history on the vehicle, including a CARFAX report. Consider this the next generation of buying a car.

Another excellent source for car buying is FSBO, or for sale by owner. Maybe you already know the person with the car and you know its history. Then a few steps in the car buying process will be eliminated. If you know and trust the owner and the car, then it's probably a fairly safe bet to go ahead and buy the car. Time and effort will usually be saved, and a good quality auto will be yours for your everyday needs. This type of transaction accounts for more than anyone realizes.

Some people's car buying hunt will be longer than others. Some will find a car in a very short time. Whatever path you follow, chances are you will arrive at the same car buying conclusion.
