Glass Roof Mustang - More Than Cool!

The previous version of the Ford Mustang had a glass roof option too! The glass roof option got to be so popular that up to 10% of Ford Mustang owners included the option on their vehicles. And what a beautiful option it was.

Well, it's back! Now the glass roof option returns for a redesigned 2010 model.

Glass Roof: More than just "coolness" points.

So is it just for looks? No, actually. The glass roof option cuts ultraviolet rays down by 90%! It effectively shields occupants from harmful sunlight rays, which can be quite blinding. You can even block out the sun with blinds that are manually operated.

The glass roof also reduces cabin temperatures. This is definitely a good thing. If the cabin temperature is controlled and kept from over heating, it creates a situation where less energy would be used up to run the vehicle's air conditioning system. The glass also protects the interior from fading or deterioration to materials.

Another benefit to a glass roof when compared to a traditional cloth top roof is the reduction of noise inside the cabin.

The glass roof option is now available on both the V6 and V8 models. I really like this option because it's cool and practical.
