Cadillac's CTS is a luxury mid-size car and it is made by the General Motors Company. The CTS's design comes from the Cadillac's "Art and Science" concept. While
first being introduced in 2003, the CTS was the newer version of Cadillac's Catera Touring Sedan. It is a rear wheel drive vehicle, and it is the first Cadillac to
have a manual transmission since the 1988 Cadillac Cimarron. However, it can still be found in the form of an automatic transmission.
The Cadillac CTS was originally powered by a 3.2 Liter V6 in 2003. The engine of this car produced 220 horsepower. However, in 2004, the CTS received a 3.6 Liter V6. This new engine now produced 255 horsepower. Finally, in 2005, the 3.2 Liter V6 Cadillac CTS went out of production. In 2008, a new and changed Cadillac CTS was produced. This new model of the CTS features a 3.6 Liter engine, where there is now 258 horsepower available. In addition, there is also a 3.6 Liter direct injection V6 engine. This engine produces 308 horsepower.

Changes have also been made to the body style of the 2008 Cadillac CTS. It is now longer and wider, and it comes with nine spoke, eighteen inch wheels. Being built at General Motors Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan, the Cadillac CTS used to be assembled in China. The assembly was soon discontinued in China because of poor sales in the market. Therefore, the CTS is now exported to China.
Even though the sales were not good in China, this did not stop Cadillac's vision. In 2008, Cadillac expanded into other countries, such as Australia and New Zealand. This will mark the return of the Cadillac brand in both of these countries.
