Pontiac G Series

With the Pontiac G Series, an individual can get up to three different cars. There is the G5, G6, and the G8. Both the power and the price go up, as the numbers go up in the series. However, the gas mileage decreases as you go up in the G series.

The Pontiac G5 has an MSRP between $17,650 and $20,950. A lot of this depends upon the features that you choose to get on your car. One feature, known as the My Link Feature, comes with a USB equipped stereo, an iPod/MP3 input jack, one year of XM radio, and Bluetooth wireless to name a few.

When thinking about gas mileage the G5 gets approximately 37 MPG on the highway. It is equipped with a 2.2 Liter engine that produces approximately 155 horsepower. Tests prove that it overpowers both the Honda Civic, and the Ford Focus.

The Pontiac G6 has an MSRP between $21,160 and $29,250. One feature that can be purchased on the G6 is the Sport Package #1. With this package an individual will get approximately 33 MPG on the highway. It has been said to have better fuel economy than the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and the Nissan Altima. Finally, this vehicle comes with a 6 speed standard automatic transmission.

The Pontiac G8 has an MSRP between $28,935 and $38,295. With the extra money that gets put into the G8, comes extra power. This car produces 361 horsepower, and has a 6 speed automatic transmission. However, if this is still not enough power for you, then you can upgrade to the Pontiac G8 GXP, which produces 415 horsepower with a V8 engine. The G8 GXP blasts from 0-60 in just a short 4.6 seconds. With the G8's active fuel management, this V8 engine has the fuel economy of a V6. It gets approximately 24 MPG on the highway.
