Selling a car? No big deal, right? Think again. Sometimes a person will, at best, have a difficult transaction ahead of them. Others will have a full fledged selling nightmare on their hands. Someone, somewhere has or knows someone that has had a less than perfect selling transaction. Some are funny, some are aggravating, but in the end, the sale was completed.
One instance is when you think that a perspective buyer is all lined up, and selling your car is no big deal. The buyer talks the talk, but when it actually comes to walking the walk, they fall more than just a little short. For one reason or another, this type of prospect is out for something other than actually buying. Maybe they are out for a joyride, just kicking tires, whatever. All the right things are said, because they have done this plenty of times before, but are actually wasting your valuable car selling time. Be constantly aware of this type.

Another scenario could be that you have an honest person that actually wants to purchase the auto. Before everything is finalized, and they drive off into the sunset, their financial backing drops out. Let's face it, it does happen, and no one will sell a car without getting the money for it first. Uncertain and bad things do happen to good people everyday. Such is life in the car selling and buying world, but you have to protect your assets.
This may be stretching things a bit, but it has been recorded in the car selling history books. One half of a couple decides to go out looking for an auto purchase. The other half does not have a clue that this is happening. A car selling deal is struck, and everything is on the up and up. So you think. After the fact, the other half gets let in on what is going on, and promptly puts the stops to the transaction. A happy relationship involves both parties, and should not be strayed from too far. Embarrassing and funny? You bet. But all the same, your car selling deal goes right down the drain.
A little reality check for those who are considering selling their car. The chances of these scenarios happening are very slim, but all the same, be aware of them.
